This week, the Queen hosted an event at the Noordeinde Palace organized by Orange Fonds, a social fund established in 2002 as a gift from the Dutch people to the royal couple on the occasion of their wedding.
Along with the Minister of the Interior, the meeting focused on building partnerships to combat inequality and strengthening social projects. On paper, it wasn’t glamorous at all, but Maxima made sure her look told a different story.

What dress did Queen Maxima wear at the Noordeinde Palace?
The dress wasn’t new. It’s a limited-edition red midi dress from Massimo Dutti, featuring a high neck, slightly puffed sleeves, and an open back, with a wrap-around skirt that gives it effortless movement.
Queen Maxima first wore it in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, during the presentation of the Music Education Agreement in her capacity as patron of Meer Muziek in de Klas. What’s different in this version is the belt, a maroon XXL Ba&Sh belt that defines the waist and transforms the silhouette. With that alone, the dress looks completely different.

Maxima completed the look with a burgundy Wandler rectangular bag with a gold clasp, Gianvito Rossi heeled boots, and long beaded earrings.
Queen Maxima doesn’t wear the same outfit twice because she lacks options; that’s for sure. She wears the same outfits again because she knows exactly what works and how to give it a twist so it doesn’t look the same.
