Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has worn her first outfit on her arrival in Cyprus with King Willem-Alexander.
The royal couple landed at Larnaca International Airport on the afternoon of March 3, kicking off a state visit that promises three days of intense official agenda.
Welcomed by President Nikos Christodoulides and his wife Philippa Karsera, the Dutch monarchs were the center of attention, although it was the impeccable styling of the Queen of the Netherlands that attracted the most attention.
Queen Maxima’s style on her arrival in Cyprus
For her first look on Cypriot soil, Maxima opted for a sophisticated ensemble that combined pieces from renowned designers.
Her top choice was a runway dress by Joseph Altuzarra, belonging to the Fall 2019 collection.
The garment is characterized by its paisley print, semi-transparent sleeves and a pleated skirt with accordion flight, a design that stands out for its movement and delicacy.
To complement the dress, the queen opted for a maroon coat by Max Mara, a piece made of pure wool and hand-stitched.
This model, which she has already worn on several occasions since 2022, features a long design with matching belt, wide cuffs and piped pockets.
As a finishing touch, she wore Gianvito Rossi’s elegant ‘Laura 85’ boots, made from Italian leather in a deep dark red tone, a musketeer-style design that slims the silhouette.
The expectation around the arrival of the kings was palpable. Numerous media and photographers gathered at the airport to capture every detail of their arrival.
The queen, conscious of the impact her image generates, did not disappoint with a fashionable choice.
