Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has once again demonstrated her ability to adapt to any situation without losing an ounce of style.
On her recent visit to the Barli sustainable housing factory in the Netherlands, the monarch surprised by swapping her stylish designer boots for a pair of safety shoes purchased at Leroy Merlin.
The day began with an official lunch at the Huis ten Bosch Palace, where Maxima opted for a sophisticated dress with a plaid skirt and plain bodice.
However, upon arrival at the factory, protocol demanded a more functional outfit.

For the occasion, she wore an outfit in dark tones by Natan, complemented with a striking plaid coat in shades of yellow and blue.
At first, she combined her look with navy blue boots by Gianvito Rossi, but the security rules of the venue forced her to make an unexpected change of footwear.
For the factory tour, Maxima swapped her designer boots for sneakers from the Swiss firm Blaklader, a model specializing in workwear with reflective details that ensure greater safety in industrial environments.
Priced at $110, these sneakers are sold at Leroy Merlin, a French store known for its DIY and construction offerings.
The change of footwear was not the only safety measure taken by the queen. She also donned a yellow reflective vest to ensure her visibility during the tour.
However, true to her style, she did not forgo her jewelry or an elegant navy blue handbag, which matched her attire.
