Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has once again been in the spotlight, but this time not for an event in her country, but for her recent trip to Washington DC.
Her presence on US soil did not go unnoticed, as she did not disappoint with her style.
The Queen of the Netherlands came to Washington as part of her work as the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health (UNSGSA).
On her first day of meetings, she held meetings with the president of the World Bank and executives from the International Monetary Fund and the International Finance Corporation.
Queen Maxima’s style in Washington
On this occasion, Maxima surprised by wearing a much more natural style than usual.
The queen, who usually opts for foundation and her characteristic artificial tan, appeared without a trace of powder, blush or foundation.
Her skin looked natural, with the logical expression marks that denote the passage of time, something uncommon among royalty, as many opt for cosmetic treatments to maintain a perfect image.
Despite the minimalist makeup, Maxima wore a light eyeliner on the lash line and what appeared to be mascara, although it could also be extensions or hairpieces.
Her eyebrows, marked as usual, left one wondering if they were made up or if she had simply opted for a long-lasting tint.
Another surprise was the total absence of jewelry. Maxima, known for her passion for flashy and valuable jewelry, showed up without earrings, a detail that did not go unnoticed.
As for her outfit, she opted for a sophisticated ensemble in keeping with the occasion. She wore a leather midi skirt in bottle green combined with a knitted sweater and an oversize jacket, all from the Belgian brand Natan, one of her favorites.
She completed her outfit with elegant suede shoes by Gianvito Rossi and a green bag by Natan.
