Queen Rania’s Style at The Ambrosetti Forum in Italy

Queen Rania of Jordan left a profound impression during her recent appearance at the Ambrosetti Forum, held in Cernobbio, Italy.

Her participation in this prestigious event, which brings together world leaders, Nobel Prize winners and leading figures in the political and economic spheres, was memorable not only for the powerful message of her speech, but also for the undeniable elegance that characterizes her.

Queen Rania took this opportunity to reiterate her commitment to peace in the Middle East and human rights, while dazzling in a style that reflects her well-known sophistication.

The forum, set in the idyllic landscape by Lake Como, served as a backdrop for the Queen’s forceful words.

In her speech, she openly criticized the West’s response to the Israel-Gaza conflict, demanding a fair and just application of international humanitarian law in the region. The queen also denounced what she called a “double standard” in Western policy.

“While Europe passionately defends human rights in Ukraine, there is a remarkable lack of empathy for the Palestinians,” Rania declared.

Rania recalled her participation in the same forum in 2005, when the world was marked by conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq and attacks in London, Sharm el-Sheikh and Amman.

Reflecting with some irony, she compared those days to the current situation, noting that what seemed critical then are now seen as “simpler times” compared to the growing complexity of the global landscape.

“I never imagined I would say those times were simpler,” she candidly confessed.

The queen’s message was as political as it was humanitarian. She underscored the alarming humanitarian situation in Gaza, where “almost the entire population faces severe food insecurity,” and condemned Israel’s restrictions on the entry of international aid.

“Palestinian children are starving while being denied the very basics for their survival,” he lamented.

However, beyond her forceful speech, Queen Rania also shone with her choice of attire, reflecting her unique blend of sobriety and sophistication.

For this occasion, she opted for an elegant three-piece suit in shades of blue and white: a brocade woven jacket, a matching Dolce Gabbana vest and white pants with a classic cut.

As a descendant of a family with Palestinian roots, Rania spoke from a personal and deeply felt perspective, concerned about the impact of the conflict in the region.

As the wife of King Abdullah II of Jordan, a country with a pivotal role in guarding the holy sites in Jerusalem, Rania has an intimate understanding of the devastating effect of the war on her region.
