The Duchess of Edinburgh attended a significant event at the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, hosted by Farida Global, a non-profit dedicated to supporting survivors of genocide and conflict-related violence.
The occasion included the London debut of The Women Who Beat ISIS, a powerful photo exhibition that highlights the resilience and stories of Yazidi genocide survivors.
During the event, the Duchess met with Awaz Abdi, a Yazidi woman who shared her harrowing experience of being held captive by ISIS at just 10 years old.
The exhibition is a tribute to the survivors and makes visible the fundamental work of Farida Global.
