On January 27, 2025, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended a poignant ceremony at the Great Hall of Guildhall in London to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day.
This solemn occasion also marked the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the notorious Nazi German concentration and extermination camp that remains a haunting symbol of the Holocaust’s horrors.
During the ceremony, the Princess of Wales lit a candle in a heartfelt tribute to the millions of lives lost.
Following the service, they had the privilege of meeting 50 Holocaust survivors, including Stephen Frank and Yvonne Bernstein, both of whom the Princess had previously met in 2020.

For the event, the Princess of Wales chose an elegant and respectful ensemble that highlighted her understated style.
Kate wore a tailored Catherine Walker coat paired with a black jumper and Roland Mouret wide-leg trousers.
Completing the look were her Russell & Bromley pumps, a Chanel classic square mini flap bag, and the late Queen Elizabeth’s earrings, which added a sentimental touch.
Her choice of accessories included a stunning pearl necklace from Susan Caplan, a Jewish-owned brand, symbolizing a thoughtful nod to the event’s theme of remembrance and resilience.
