This Sunday, the British royal family took advantage of Father’s Day to share two emotional messages on social media.
Through their official accounts, both the Prince and Princess of Wales and King Charles III posted meaningful images, amid a weekend also marked by the traditional Trooping the Colour.
Prince William’s Father’s Day photo
The Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account shared a candid photo of Prince William with his children George, Charlotte, and Louis.
They are all dressed in green and appear relaxed, in what seems to be a spontaneous family moment.
Accompanying the image, the children dedicated a direct message to their father: “Happy Father’s Day, Dad (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L.” As is customary in this type of celebration, Kate Middleton does not appear in the photo.
King Charles’ Father’s Day photo
For his part, King Charles III posted a black-and-white image on his official profile alongside his sister, Princess Anne, being pushed on a swing by their father, Prince Philip.
A photograph of Queen Camilla with her father, the late Bruce Shand, was also shared. The message was brief and general: “To all Dads everywhere, we wish you a happy Father’s Day today.”
