PHOTO: King Felipe and Queen Letizia surprise Princess Leonor and enjoy a family trip without Princess Sofia

The Easter holidays of the Spanish royal family are about to begin, and they are already leaving behind some pictures of their short but exciting vacation with their daughters.

These days will mark the reunion between the Spanish monarchs and their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, since last December.

Leonor has a life at the Military Academy of Zaragoza, where she began her military training in August 2023.

Meanwhile, the Infanta Sofia began her studies at the UWC Atlantic College in Wales, also last year.

The family has not been able to be together since December, which makes this reunion all the more meaningful.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia traveled to Zaragoza to visit their daughter Leonor.

The Spanish press has published pictures of this “surprise trip”.

A few weeks ago, Felipe VI took advantage of his position as head of the Armed Forces to visit his daughter at the Military Academy in Zaragoza.

Now, this week, the Kings and Queens, as a couple, took advantage of the Easter holidays to visit their firstborn.

The Princess of Asturias took a few days off for Easter, and before traveling to Madrid, her parents went to Zaragoza to pick her up.

On their way home, they stopped in the Aragonese city and enjoyed an impromptu dinner at the restaurant of the El Patio Hotel.

They immortalized the moment with a photo with some of the staff.

The locals appreciated the unexpected visit on their Instagram profile.

Eduardo Martínez, owner of the establishment, confessed that Felipe, Letizia and Leonor acted like any other tourists and willingly agreed to take a picture with the team.

For her outfit, Queen Letizia chose a black striped sweater, cargo pants, leather jacket and matching ankle boots.

Leonor, on the warmer side, wore a white striped sweater, straight cut jeans, black feathers, a printed scarf and sneakers.

The King also posed smiling in jeans and a dark jacket.

Princess Leonor does not have to return to the General Military Academy in Zaragoza until April 4th.

However, Infanta Sofia was the big absentee at this family event in Zaragoza.

It would not be surprising to see the entire royal family during these holidays.

It should be remembered that last year the King and Queen and their daughters enjoyed the representation of the Passion of Christ in the city of Chinchón.

    Princess Leonor’s military preparation

Princess Leonor has begun rigorous physical preparation in anticipation of her entrance into the Zaragoza Military Academy.

As heir to the Spanish throne, the Princess will focus on her military training for the next three years.

She will eventually assume the role of commander-in-chief of the armed forces when she becomes head of state.

Leonor, 18, will follow in the footsteps of her father, King Felipe, and spend a year in the Army.

Then in the Navy and finally in the Air Force. Upon completion of her training, she will earn the rank of Lieutenant in the Infantry and Air Force, as well as the rank of Naval Ensign in the Navy.

Just a few days ago, the princess and some of her companions successfully completed a rigorous military training.

She spent several days testing her knowledge of weaponry and wilderness survival.

This shows the princess’ dedication to preparing to become queen.
