The second part of the Netflix documentary series about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has revealed what the press has been talking about for a long time: the quarrel between Prince William and Prince Harry.
In the last three episodes they recount the darkest moments that Meghan Markle lived within the institution, such as her suicidal thoughts, product of a war of information coming out of Buckingham Palace and that made Harry’s rift with his brother William grow more as there were betrayals, lies and breach of promises.
Prince Harry and William relationship
In episode five, Harry talks about the meeting in which he told his father and brother that he and Meghan wanted to leave the UK but without completely disassociating themselves from the royal family, only reducing their responsibility. There Harry realized that his plans had been leaked as Charles and William came prepared to confront the Sussexes for their intention “half in and half out” of the institution.
For Princess Diana’s youngest son, it was heartbreaking to see how his brother yelled at him and his father told him things that were not true, while his grandmother remained silent assimilating the whole situation.
The final disappointment came the next day when it was published in the press that Prince William had kicked Harry out of the institution. The palace issued a statement on behalf of the siblings denying the news. Harry could not believe that no one had asked his permission to put his name on the statement.
Harry questioned the institution and assured that they lied to protect his brother and never told the truth to protect him and Meghan.
