King Charles is set to resume his schedule of royal activities in 2025.
The 76-year-old monarch made his first public appearance of the year by attending a church service at Sandringham.
He was not alone on this occasion; Queen Camilla, 77, accompanied him on his first outing of the year.
This Sunday, January 5, the two braved the rain and headed to a Divine Service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, located on the Sandringham estate.
Despite the weather, both the King and Queen seemed in good spirits. The Queen did not hesitate to carry a stylish transparent umbrella to protect herself from the rain.

During the service, the King could be seen greeting Graham Usher, the Bishop of Norwich, who preached the sermon of the day.
The visit to the church marked the first joint outing for King Charles and Queen Camilla in the new year, which is a good sign, especially considering that the King’s cancer treatment is still ongoing.
The monarch is expected to have a full schedule of activities in the first months of the year, with trips planned both within the UK and abroad.
Recall that a year ago, the health problems of Prince William’s father became known.
The sovereign was hospitalized last January to undergo a procedure related to an enlarged prostate, and it was during this time that a “separate problem of concern” was detected, resulting in a diagnosis of cancer.
After following medical recommendations, the King decided to postpone his public engagements for three months.
Finally, at the end of April, he resumed his public duties with a visit to a cancer hospital in London, accompanied by Queen Camilla.
Since then, he has taken on more and more royal engagements, including his first trip to Samoa and Australia, as well as hosting a state visit by representatives of Japan and Qatar—one made in June and the other that took place in December.
In all of this, he also counts a series of engagements around the UK.
