In a relaxed atmosphere filled with youthful enthusiasm, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, together with their daughters Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, met with the new award winners and patrons of the Princess of Girona Foundation.
The meeting took place as part of the activities leading up to the official 2025 Awards ceremony, which this year will be held at the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona.
All of them have been recognized for their ability to generate positive impact and transform reality through innovative and collaborative initiatives.
Girona awards ceremony
But the highlight will be the Princess of Girona Awards ceremony, scheduled for this Wednesday at 7:20 p.m. in Spain. The event will take place at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.
The Foundation, which is managed by its Board of Trustees, recognizes outstanding young people each year in five categories: Art, Business, Research, Social, and International.
One of the most emotional moments will be the premiere of Mano a mano, a musical tribute to the Valencian municipalities affected by the floods, performed by Maura Nava, La Espe, and Cor Vivaldi.
In terms of style, Leonor wore a white dress by Adolfo Domínguez; Sofía wore a light-colored outfit with an ecru blazer; and Queen Letizia wore a blue suit by Mango. A sober and cohesive presence for an event that puts youth at the center.
