The former Spanish monarch, Juan Carlos, is preparing a big celebration for his 86th birthday, which will take place on January 5.
Spanish media have reported the list of guests, which includes several well-known and prominent names.
Guests invited to the birthday of King Juan Carlos
The Spanish press is already talking about who will travel to Abu Dhabi to celebrate the King’s new year of life.
Among the guests are politicians, writers, royalty, hunters, bankers, journalists, as well as some family members, such as the infantas Cristina and Elena, who will be with their father on this special day.
The last time the former king was with his daughters was a few days ago to celebrate the birthday of his daughter, Infanta Elena, on December 20.
Elena’s son, Felipe Juan Froilán, will also be present, as he lives close to the retired monarch, as will Victoria Federica, the royal family’s influencer, who has a special bond with her grandfather.
However, it is not yet confirmed whether the Infanta Cristina’s children, Juan, Pablo, Irene and Miguel, will be present at the party.
Despite the obvious excitement generated by the celebration, it is possible that it will be marred by notable absences, including Queen Sofia and her son Felipe and his wife Queen Letizia, and of course Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia.
Some see this celebration as a provocation towards his son and the Queen Letizia, as there has never been a good relationship between them.
