Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, although they are minors, do have an income as part of the Spanish royal family.
Leonor, 17, and Sofia, 15, do not receive a public salary, so it is their parents, King Felipe, 55, and Queen Letizia, 50, who assigns them a weekly allowance to cover their expenses.
Net worth of Princess Leonor and Sofia
A few days ago it became known that the Spanish monarchs adjusted their annual salary. King Felipe increased his salary by 3.99% while Queen Letizia will receive 4% more than in 2022. However, their daughters are not part of the official allowance, but they have been receiving part of that money for years.
Four years ago it was known that the amount received by the heiresses was 30 euros per week, approximately 32 U.S. dollars today. What is unknown is whether this figure has increased since then or if it remains the same.
That figure only covers personal expenses because the kings are the ones who are in charge of paying for their daughters’ education. As they clarified when Princess Leonor went to study in Wales and now that the Infanta Sofia will also study at the same school.
Although it is not official, it is expected that when Princess Leonor turns 18 she will assume more important roles in the monarchy and may receive a monthly salary.
