There are moments that remind us how quickly time passes, and one of those is seeing Prince George with his mother. In the latest images from British Armed Forces Day, the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales has captured attention for a very simple reason. He’s already nearly as tall as Kate Middleton, and he’s only 12 years old.
Mother and son visited the Royal Air Force base in Lincolnshire, where they learned firsthand about the work of the military and the legacy of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Amidst historic aircraft and photos from the day, there was one detail that didn’t go unnoticed by the royal family’s followers. George appears to be nearly the same height as the Princess of Wales.
The comparison went even further on social media. An X user found a photo of Prince William at 15, standing alongside Diana, and placed it next to a current photo of George. According to that post, William was 179 centimeters tall at that age, while George is already 175. “Looks like William’s reign as the tallest member of the family won’t last much longer.” he wrote.

Beyond the numbers, the image leaves a curious feeling. Just recently, we saw George as a little boy on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, and now he’s starting to take on the bearing of a future teenage king. It also reveals the close bond he shares with his parents, a family that increasingly projects a more natural and united image in their public appearances.
