The relationship between Infanta Cristina and her son Pablo Urdangarin has suffered a small bump as a result of a decision that the young athlete would have taken regarding his academic training and that did not end up convincing his mother.
According to exclusive information, Pablo would have opted to change the on-site university for online studies, in order to be able to better reconcile it with his handball career.
Pablo Urdangarin wants to give up his on-site studies
According to what was revealed by the journalist Alexia Rivas in the Spanish program “Vamos a ver”, Pablo Urdangarin intends to leave face-to-face education to attend university in online mode.
This decision would allow him to more easily combine his studies with the practice of sports at a high level, an option that his coaches see with good eyes but not his family.
The Infanta Cristina would have been very upset with the possibility of her son abandoning face-to-face education, considered more enriching.
Apparently, the younger sister of King Felipe VI would have even begged Pablo not to make this change which does not make him any fun, even though the young man is clear that it is the best way to progress in handball without neglecting the academic training.
For the moment, Pablo himself has not confirmed this information about his university plans.
However, according to the journalist, those close to the athlete have told him that his greatest desire is to move to online studies.
The controversial decision comes a few weeks after the former Duke of Palma, Iñaki Urdangarin, officially introduced his new romantic partner, Ainhoa Armentia, to his son Pablo.
According to reports, the meeting would have taken place by surprise at one of the young man’s handball games, being for now the only one of the Infanta’s children who knows his father’s new girlfriend.
