Infanta Elena’s Classic and Colorful Fashion Choices

This past weekend, Infanta Elena visited Las Ventas to indulge in one of her favorite pastimes: bullfighting.

The sister of King Felipe VI chose staple pieces from her wardrobe for the occasion, including her favorite accessory: the hat.

The dip in temperatures in the capital prompted Victoria Federica’s mother to opt for mid-season clothing, setting aside the more vibrant looks typical of this time of year.

She attended wearing a dark green blazer with shoulder pads, a classic choice for the infanta, which she paired with a golden brooch that added a touch of brightness to the jacket.

To complete her ensemble, she chose a colorful scarf with green tones matching the jacket and a white hat, one of her most frequently worn accessories when she attends bullfights.

On this occasion, she preferred a sober and classic style, eschewing the more daring choices that have surprised us in recent events.

For example, just a few days ago, at the award ceremony for the XXXIII edition of the Children’s and Youth Painting Contest for Schools, she astonished us with a very colorful dress featuring a geometric print. Yet, the blazer was a constant, this time in beige, matching her shoes.

Elena is the most fashion-forward member of the royal family. It’s not unusual to see her transition from classic nudes to vibrant tones. When the event calls for it, she can also flawlessly wear the traditional mantilla.

We have seen her in outfits by renowned Spanish designers such as Lorenzo Caprile and Petro Valverde, as well as other major designers like Christian Lacroix, Dior, and Chanel.

One of her most memorable looks, which showcases her willingness to take risks, was undoubtedly at the wedding of Victoria of Sweden. She captured everyone’s attention with a daring Caprile creation inspired by Goya, featuring a cape-like pink dress and a jacket adorned with jewels and tassels, giving it a bullfighter’s flair.

Her wardrobe choices are a true reflection of the infanta’s personality.

Comfort and elegance are the foundation of her closet, yet she never misses an opportunity to surprise when the occasion demands it.
