Easter always brings a family reunion time for the Spanish Royal Family.
This year, Infanta Sofia, 16, will have the opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved vacation away from UWC Atlantic College in Wales, where she is studying for her Baccalaureate.
The youngest daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia will return to Madrid to reunite with her parents and her sister, Princess Leonor, who will also have a few days off from the Military Academy in Zaragoza.
Infanta Sofia’s Easter vacations
Although the entire family will be able to catch up on their respective lives, it seems that Infanta Sofia has a special plan in mind that will briefly separate her from her mother and sister.
Being the soccer fan that she is, rumor has it that the young lady might take advantage of her stay in Spain to attend with her father, King Felipe VI, the exciting final of the Copa del Rey on April 6 in Seville.
This would not be a new event for Infanta Sofia, as last year she already had the opportunity to accompany the monarch in this sporting event.
Sharing a passion for soccer has forged a special bond between father and daughter, and what better way to celebrate it than watching together the final between RCD Mallorca and Athletic Club at the emblematic Estadio de La Cartuja.
Although Queen Letizia and Princess Leonor will not attend this event, as the heir to the throne must return to the Military Academy that same day, Infanta Sofia will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique moment with her father.
After all, soccer is one of her favorite sports and she plays it very well according to sources close to the Zarzuela.
While Princess Eleanor prepares for her final exams and the closing of the school year at the Academy, Princess Sofia will be able to relax and immerse herself in the excitement of the game, before resuming her studies in Wales.
All in all, the Easter vacations promise to be a period of reunion and fun for the Spanish Royal Family.
