The Infanta Sofia is getting ready to steal the spotlight for her next official act. The daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia will take a break from her school activities in the fourth year of ESO at the Santa María de los Rosales school, to attend the events of October 12.
As is tradition, this important date is commemorated in style by the royal family. As it happened last year, Sofia will face the press without her great companion: Princess Leonor.
The eldest daughter of the King and Queen will not travel to the country for the date due to her studies at UWC Atlantic College in Wales.

It is expected that, in the absence of her sister, Sofia will be the one who will be the center of attention, even though she will be accompanied by her parents. As was the case last year, it is possible that Sofia will take her sister’s place by standing to the right of the king, a place that on other occasions corresponds to Leonor.
The next time the sisters will be together in an official act will be at the Princess of Asturias Awards, scheduled for late October, a ceremony that will be held just days before Princess Leonor’s 17th birthday.
