On Wednesday, June 19, Infanta Sofia closed the most important day for Spain’s royal family with a flourish: the tenth anniversary of King Felipe’s proclamation.
At this event, Felipe, Queen Letizia, and their daughters, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, took center stage. Both sisters donned modern outfits that reflected their personal styles.
During the final act, they attended the Royal Collections Gallery for a special tour. The sister of Princess Leonor dazzled with her elegance and current style.
Infanta Sofia on Felipe’s Proclamation Anniversary
Infanta Sofia’s attire at King Felipe’s proclamation was particularly noteworthy. For the occasion, Sofia chose a chic and refreshing all-white ensemble. She wore a sleeveless sequined blouse from Claudie Pierlot, paired with high-waisted palazzo pants.
What stood out was that the infanta finally wore heels. At 17 years old, Sofia completed her outfit with chunky-heeled shoes. Additionally, she once again wore her hair down, this time with slightly waved ends, and her eye makeup was subtly intensified.
Undoubtedly, this look perfectly suits her style and has been compared to other ensembles worn by the young royal. An elegant and sophisticated choice for such a special occasion.
On the tenth anniversary of King Felipe’s proclamation, Infanta Sofia and Princess Leonor joined their parents, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, in a series of commemorative events at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
During a luncheon at the Royal Palace, the Spanish princesses took the microphone to express affectionate words for their parents. Leonor, 18, began by saying, “Sorry for interrupting, but we also have something to say today.”
Sofia, 17, added, “Thank you for joining us to remember that in these 10 years, we have learned from our parents what the commitment that the four of us have with all Spaniards means.”
Leonor continued, “Now, I would like you to join us in a toast to our mother and father, to our Kings, because since we were born, we have been taught the value of this institution, of the Crown, its usefulness to our society, and its purpose of serving all.”
Sofia concluded her remarks by saying, “Mom, dad, thank you.” King Felipe also highlighted the growing support of his daughters and wished this anniversary to be special for them.
In his speech, he mentioned that the princesses have begun to understand the realities of collective life and the complexity of the world with a critical spirit and a thirst for learning. An emotional and significant moment for the Spanish royal family!
