The King and Queen’s daughters have surprised this morning to accompany King Felipe and Queen Letizia in an audience with the Board of Trustees of the United World Schools Committee Foundation. This is the center where both have studied the International Baccalaureate.
In this appointment, the Infanta Sofia stood out with a red dress by Mango, an accessible fashion brand and with which she moved away from her usual colors.
Infanta Sofia’s asymmetrical red dress
We are not used to seeing Sofia with such striking tones, although she had already opted for red in pants when she accompanied her father to the final of the Eurocup.
This time, the youngest daughter of the King and Queen has opted for an asymmetrical design, with decorative seams, rounded neck and long sleeves, defying the Madrid heat of mid-July.
For those who have fallen in love with this dress, there is good news. This Mango bestseller is 44% off and can be found on the brand’s website for $49.99.
The Infanta Sofia has combined her dress with a pair of ballerinas in the same color, a shoe that her sister Leonor had already worn for the first time in April 2021, when she sponsored a Navy ship named after her.
These flat leather ballerinas have a rope bow and a different texture on the front, with a pointed toe finish.
Three years later, Sofia has rescued them for this appearance at the Zarzuela Palace, demonstrating that she shares the same foot size as Leonor.
Although she has innovated in terms of color and design, Sofia has been faithful to her minimalist style, dispensing with accessories and wearing her hair straight with the parting in the middle, as is usual for her.
It was not foreseen in the agenda of the Royal Family that the King and Queen’s daughters would be present at this audience, but since it is the center where they have studied -and in Sofia’s case, she is still studying- her International Baccalaureate, they did not want to miss it.
Leonor and Sofia have shared with these young people with whom they have much in common, since all of them have been admitted to the UWC after passing the relevant tests, getting a coveted place in the boarding school.
