Since September, Infanta Sofia has been attending her first year of university at Forward College, an international project that began in Lisbon and will continue in Paris and Berlin.
The center was established in 2021 with the clear goal of educating students in small, flexible, and highly practical environments. And that very campus in Lisbon, where Sofia is studying Political Science and International Relations in her first year, has just undergone a complete renovation that is already making headlines.

Infanta Sofia in Lisbon: What is the new Soriano campus like?
Forward College shared a preview on social media with the phrase “Take a look inside our Soriano campus!”, and the transformation is truly remarkable.
The new Soriano Learning Center is designed to facilitate a smooth daily experience: classrooms tailored for small groups, spacious areas for collaborative work, a kitchen where students can socialize informally, and even a meditation room intended to provide the balance that, frankly, every university life requires.
This renovation doesn’t feel like a simple facelift, but rather a genuine effort to create a more welcoming and human-centric space.
Which spaces truly stand out?
The images shared by the center reveal meticulously designed spaces: an outdoor area filled with colorful tables for relaxation, a cozy room featuring beige poufs and soft lighting, and a minimalist room with industrial lamps and a large table for undistracted study.
It’s easy to imagine Sofia moving between these spaces during her routine, especially since the university aims to seamlessly blend academic and daily life. It may seem minor, but these details are a big help for those spending their first year away from home.
At Forward College, AI makes a clear difference. They say, “AI is part of our DNA.” In practice, this means Sofia and her colleagues have been working with tools like GPT-5 and Claude from day one, integrated into a space called the AI Hub.

They also have a dashboard that monitors their usage and helps them develop digital skills that will be crucial for their careers. It’s not just a technological gimmick; it’s an integral part of the training program, and in such a small center, its impact is even more noticeable.
