The Infanta Sofia is completing her first semester at the UWC Atlantic College boarding school in Wales, where she is studying the International Baccalaureate with students from all over the world.
Being a dedicated and committed student, like her sister Leonor, the young royal has also participated in the various cultural events held at the college.
Infanta Sofia’s stay at the UWC
According to sources close to the Spanish Royal House, Sofia is a brilliant student, responsible, and very appreciated by her peers in Wales.
Nicknamed “the confidant of the court” for her observant character, the infanta stands out for her intelligence and dedication to her studies.
However, not everything is academic at Atlantic College. Recently, Sofia was able to enjoy the “British Isles National Evening 2024,“ an annual celebration where British and Irish students share with their international peers a taste of the culture of the British Isles.
Also, on February 18, the Infanta participated in the “Mediterranean National Evening”, where the group of Spanish students offered an exhibition on Mediterranean culture.
These events, organized by national student groups, seek to promote cultural diversity and exchange among young people from different parts of the world.
In this way, between the academic rigors and her active social participation, Infanta Sofia completes her adaptation to this new educational stage away from Spain, where she lives with young people of diverse origins, broadening her cultural horizons.
The promising future of the Infanta Sofia
Although her destiny is not to become queen consort, Sofia has qualities that suggest she will play an important role in the Monarchy.
Far from being a “second daughter,” the young woman has been developing a role of her own that will be crucial in the future, both personally and institutionally.
With time and the necessary training, the youngest of the daughters of King Felipe and Queen Letizia will decide how to approach her professional life.
Her closeness to her sister Leonor suggests that she will accompany and support her in the tasks inherent to her position as heir to the Crown.
