It seems that the infanta Sofia is being hit hard by the estrangement with her sister, Princess Leonor. Both are very close, however, due to her preparation as future queen of Spain, Leonor had to go to study in Wales.
Last Friday, August 26th, the Infanta and her sister said goodbye again as Leonor had to return to start her second year of International Baccalaureate at the UWC Atlantic College in Wales.
The Infanta Sofia wants to study in Wales
A recent publication indicates that the Infanta Sofia could join her sister and move to study in the same Welsh institution.
It is not clear when it will be because at the moment it is expected that from September, the infanta will attend the fourth year of ESO in the private school Santa Maria de los Rosales in Madrid.
“She has it very clear, only with the things that her sister tells her she is dying to go to Wales, but people think that it is very easy, but the tests to enter and the average grades they ask for are very complicated”, revealed a source to the newspaper El Español.

If the princess chooses this option, she will have to begin to comply with the rigorous phases of the selection process of the British institution. In total there are three tests including an interview.
The institution receives all the applications from students who want to enter and applies a filter based on the academic record. Then, applicants must submit several essays where they will evaluate different areas of knowledge and finally, a personal interview to know, among other things, the personality of the future student.
