The Infanta Sofia of Spain is in the final stretch of her first year of her baccalaureate in Wales.
During this period at the prestigious UWC Atlantic College in Wales, she has carried out different academic activities, projects and plans with her classmates.
Recently the youngest daughter of the King and Queen of Spain celebrated her 17th birthday in Wales.
In fact, a photo of a supposed Sofia with a classmate from the boarding school circulated on social networks.
The image was accompanied by a text where they revealed that they would enjoy the “Sofia Day” and “Such a shame I can’t post your face”. What makes us think that it was indeed the daughter of King Felipe VI.
It has transpired that the Zarzuela Palace had asked the students of the boarding school not to share photos of Sofia in order to protect her privacy as much as possible.
It also transpired that Sofia had some plans prior to her birthday.
The Infanta took advantage of the weekend to do some activities with her classmates, enjoying different plans.
“Nature and sports are the main protagonists when she does not have class,” reports sources close to the boarding school in Wales and collected by the Spanish portal, Monarquia Confidencial.
Sofia also participated along with her first-year high school classmates in the “week of projects” in which they carried out activities such as hiking or surfing, as well as activities related to creativity and arts.
Infanta Sofia travels to Oxford
But recently, specifically on April 23, Infanta Sofia traveled to Oxford to visit some museums in the city to get ideas that would help her to develop the final project of the course.
The younger sister of the Princess of Asturias has to write an academic essay on sociology in the world, so her trip to Oxford was focused on getting inspiration to complete the final project of the course.
Sofia is also preparing to face her first solo act in Spain.
As we have already reported, Sofia will be the godmother of a photography contest which will bear her name and will be in charge of awarding the prizes.
So far, the date of the contest has not been announced: ‘Objetivo Patrimonio. Infanta Sofia Photography Contest’.
