The first weekend of August has been quite an event in Palma de Mallorca, both for residents and for the media that cover every summer the vacations of the Spanish royal family.
This Sunday, July 4, the entire royal family surprised everyone with an unexpected outing: a dinner at the Mia restaurant, the same one they chose last summer.
It was the first time since the beginning of the summer season that King Felipe and Queen Letizia, Queen Emeritus Sofia, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia coincided at the Marivent Palace, their traditional holiday retreat.

During this family outing, the Infanta Sofia also grabbed all the flashes for her minimalist outfit.
For the occasion, she decided to borrow a dress from the closet of her mother, Queen Letizia.
The dress in question is a Zara model in turquoise, sleeveless and straight cut, with side slits.
Queen Letizia had previously worn it at the Retina Eco 2023 Awards. However, unlike her mother, Sofia chose not to wear a belt, letting the dress flow naturally.
To complete her look, Sofia resorted to espadrilles that we have seen in previous summers in Palma. These sandals, from the Macarena Shoes brand, model ‘Saura’, are made of beige linen with a three-centimeter sole and wedge of natural jute.
There is no doubt that these espadrilles are a summer basic, and can be found on the brand’s website for $80.
This vacation has been somewhat unusual for the royal family due to their participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Letizia returned to Spain on Saturday after nearly a week of official engagements in the City of Light, where she was supporting Spanish athletes, as were her two daughters.
Felipe VI will soon travel to Paris to take over and continue with the representation of the royal house in the Games.
