It will not be long before the Infanta Sofia returns to her country. The daughter of the King and Queen of Spain, Felipe VI and Letizia, has been in Wales since August 2023.
The Infanta has followed in the footsteps of her sister, Princess Leonor, at this prestigious boarding school, which combines excellence in education with enriching cultural exchange.
Infanta Sofia’s Easter vacation
March 28th marks the end of classes for Sofia, who is looking forward to an Easter vacation in Spain.
This will be a special time to reunite with her sister and enjoy the company of her family.
Sofia’s stay in Spain will last until the first week of April, giving her a well-deserved break after months of academic dedication.
Educational and cultural experience in Wales
UWC Atlantic College is renowned for its modern approach to education, promoting not only academic learning but also personal development through sports, volunteering and cultural events.
Students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the traditions of their peers, fostering an environment of respect and appreciation for diversity.
Recently, in celebration of International Women’s Day, UWC Atlantic College students participated in the ‘Fan Dance’, a challenging 24km walk over Pen y Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons.
This activity served as a platform for dialogue on crucial issues such as sustainability, gender equality, world peace and other issues of global relevance.
The Infanta Sofia, like her peers, is actively involved in these initiatives, reflecting young people’s commitment to addressing today’s challenges and their role as agents of change in society.
