Princess Leonor and her sister, Infanta Sofia, are very close. They have always appeared together at royal events, but now that they have grown up, things have changed.
Each of them has their own responsibilities, and, of course, sometimes they have to miss important moments.
The last time they saw each other was at Christmas. Since then, Leonor and Sofia have each gone their separate ways, and it is estimated that they will not reunite until next summer.
Sofia is fully immersed in her studies in Wales, at Atlantic College, and she is expected to officially finish her time there in May. However, it seems that Leonor will miss her graduation.
Princess Leonor at Infanta Sofia’s graduation
While Sofia is focused on the final stage of her studies, Leonor is sailing on the Juan Sebastián Elcano—a long voyage lasting several months.
Since Sofia’s graduation is in May and Leonor will not return until June, it is clear that she will not be present. When Leonor graduated, both Sofia, Queen Letizia, and King Felipe attended. But everything will be different for the infanta.
Interestingly, Leonor’s graduation was attended by the whole family, but only Felipe and Letizia will be present at Sofia’s graduation. Even so, Sofia will surely celebrate in style.
Although Sofia is about to finish school, her future plans remain unknown.
The infanta has several options: she could follow in Leonor’s footsteps by attending military academy, or she might prefer to attend university and pursue a quieter field of study that could lead to a career.
When are Infanta Sofia’s vacations?
The next vacation for the youngest daughter of Felipe and Letizia will be during Easter, as reflected in the calendar of UWC Atlantic College in Wales.
It appears that students will leave the campus on April 11 and will not have to return until April 21—a ten-day vacation she will likely use to return to Spain and spend time with her family, though sadly, she will remain far from her sister Leonor.
