Graphology, the science that studies personality through handwriting, has allowed us to know unknown aspects of the Infanta Sofia.
Although she has always been an unconditional support for her older sister, Princess Leonor, there are traits of Sofia that remain hidden to the naked eye.
The Spanish portal Semana, consulted expert Macarena Arnás to make an analysis of the Infanta Sofia’s handwriting, revealing a deeper profile of the young woman.
Infanta Sofia’s Handwriting
Arnás, graphologist and author of the book “The signatures of Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler, Elvis… and other graphology stories”, has examined the evolution in the Infanta’s handwriting from 2018 to the present.
The handwriting of 2018: Sensitivity and creativity.
When Sofia was 11 years old, her handwriting was typical of her age, but she was already showing important signs. “It’s a calligraphic handwriting, like that of school notebooks,” Arnás comments, highlighting the clarity in the strokes. However, what stands out most is the sensitivity and creativity that is reflected in every curve of her handwriting.
“Sofia’s very curved handwriting indicates a strong emotional charge and sensitivity,” says the expert. In addition, she observes a particular characteristic in some letters: the false union. “There are some letters that seem connected, but they are not at all, which is a sign of shyness and also of observational skills.”
The evolution toward firmness
Five years later, in 2023, Sofia’s handwriting has evolved. According to Arnás, she now shows greater graphic psychomotor skills, i.e., more control over her movements when writing. However, the lack of radical changes in her signature suggests a steady and persevering personality. The letter “F”, in particular, has changed, indicating a practical maturity rather than a purely idealistic approach.
Perfectionism and rebelliousness
Arnás also highlights that Sofía has inherited some signature details from her mother, Queen Letizia, such as the period in her rubric, a gesture that denotes perfectionism and determination.
“This dot at the end speaks of her sharp, perfectionist and very detail-oriented character,” he explains.
Despite these more serious characteristics, there are also hints of a rebellious spirit in Sofia.
“There is a touch of rebelliousness in her calligraphy, which indicates that, if she sets her mind to something, she won’t stop until she achieves it,” Arnás concludes.
A creative future
Finally, the graphologist suggests that Sofía has great creative potential, both artistically and practically.
“She is able to bring her ideas to reality with clarity,” says Arnás.
In fact, her ability to turn the intangible into something concrete could be reflected in fields such as painting or literature.
This analysis offers us a new perspective on Infanta Sofia, showing us a young woman who, although discreet in her role within the royal family, possesses a creative, determined and, perhaps, a little rebellious personality.
