The Infanta Sofia, youngest daughter of the King and Queen of Spain, moved to Wales in August to study at UWC Atlantic College, the same school where her sister Leonor spent two years.
However, her experience does not seem to be as idyllic as expected.
According to some reports in the Spanish press, the sister of the Princess of Asturias is having discipline problems at school.
What are the Infanta Sofia’s problems at school?
Little is known about the Infanta Sofia’s student life, but some media have speculated that her behavior is not appropriate for such a prestigious institution.
According to El Nacional, Sofia de Borbon has received several sanctions for misdemeanors such as tardiness and sleeping during class.
In addition, the same source states that the 16-year-old shows little interest in studies, something she would have inherited from her father, King Felipe VI, who was not known for his academic enthusiasm in his youth.
However, in the few months he has been at the British school, his grades have been satisfactory, at least for now.
The Infanta Sofia has also been involved in the controversial night parties that some of the boarding school students have been organizing near the village, causing annoyance and complaints from the neighbors.
Although there is no confirmation of her participation in these events, local media assure that the residents have already expressed their dissatisfaction with the behavior of the students to the institution.
So far, the Royal Household has not issued a statement to deny the reports about the misbehavior of Princess Leonor’s sister.
