It seems that Infanta Sofia is experiencing a wonderful stage in her life, one that combines independence, routine, and new discoveries.

For a few weeks now, she has been living in Lisbon, where she is studying Political Science and International Relations at Forward College. An important step that marks the beginning of her university life, but also an opportunity to enjoy some freedom away from the constant spotlight of being part of the Royal Family.

What has stood out the most is how easily she has adapted. Between classes, friends, and new experiences, Sofia has found her best refuge in sports. Although she has always been passionate about soccer, it seems that in Lisbon, paddle tennis has become her go-to way to unwind.

She has also managed to create a small social routine of her own. According to several sources, she often visits the cafes in the upper district of the Portuguese capital, a place full of life and charm, where she spends time with her friends and enjoys the anonymity that allows her to be “just another student.”

And yet, she maintains her bond with her family by using her free weekends to travel to Madrid and reconnect with the King and Queen.

Sofía embodies the new image of the monarchy: natural, discreet, and approachable. She doesn’t need grand gestures to connect with people, and perhaps that’s where her charm lies.
