The black and white photos show the royal couple gazing lovingly at each other before taking to the stage to present £1 million each to five people to fund green innovations to help curb the current climate crisis.
“Backstage at the second annual #EarthshotPrize awards ceremony,” they wrote on their official Twitter account. “Celebrating brilliant solutions and the people who came up with them.” Other photos show Kate applauding William as he spoke on stage, as well as individual photos of both royals.

As the Prince and Duchess of Wales returned to the U.S. together for the first time since 2014, a trailer for Prince Harry’s upcoming Netflix documentary series ‘Harry & Meghan’ surfaced. The first glimpse of the series showed an image of Prince William and Kate, and Harry said: ‘No one can see what goes on behind closed doors. I had to do everything in my power to protect my family.” In the final part of the dramatic teaser, Meghan Markle interjects to ask viewers, “With so much at stake, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from our mouths?”
According to royal sources, the release of the dramatic teaser was a “coordinated campaign” to overshadow Prince William and Kate’s visit to the United States. Hugo Vickers, a friend of the royal family, told the magazine: ‘Surprise, surprise, how annoying it is from Harry and Meghan. But these things are inevitable. It seems a bit pretentious what they’ve produced.”
