The Swiss justice reported that the investigation of King Emeritus Juan Carlos I of Spain was shelved. The Geneva Prosecutor’s Office was investigating King Philip’s father for the donation of $100 million by Saudi Arabia to the then Spanish monarch.
Corinna Larsen, the German businesswoman and ex-lover of the emeritus, broke the silence and spoke about the decision of the Swiss justice system and how this ruling benefits her.
Investigation against King Juan Carlos in Switzerland
The lover of the grandfather of Princesses Leonor and Sofia, declared this week, that she was “exonerated of all responsibility” and also added that her innocence was “evident”, as she said in a statement released by the EFE news agency.
“Today I have finally been exonerated of all responsibility in the investigation carried out by the Swiss prosecutor for three years. My innocence was evident from the beginning and this episode has served to further damage my image within the framework of the continuous smear campaign against me by certain Spanish interests,” Corinna’s statement said.
Added:
“Meanwhile, the offenders have not been investigated and have been given time to conceal their activities. They remain unpunished,” he concluded.
This is the second victory that the emeritus scores with justice. The first time was with the Spaniard after at the beginning of October, the Prosecutor’s Office announced that it was studying to file the investigations into her fortune.
The monarch emeritus has been in the United Arab Emirates since 2020, and according to close sources, Queen Sofia’s husband could return to Iberian lands on December 17.
