Infanta Elena’s birthday was the perfect occasion for the women of the Spanish royal family to show off some of their best outfits.
Infanta Elena celebrated her 60th birthday surrounded by her closest family, including her niece Irene Urdangarin, who stole the show with her youthful and modern look.
The daughter of Infanta Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarin, she was all smiles with her brothers Juan and Pablo, with whom she shared the restaurant in Madrid that served as a place for the family to gather and celebrate Elena’s life.

Irene Urdangarin surprised with an outfit that combined the bohemian with the rocker, showing that she has her own style and very current.
The 18-year-old wore a black midi skirt contrasted with a black leather jacket with zippers.
To complete her look, Irene chose a pair of black cowboy boots with a medium heel, which gave her height and personality.
She also wore an XXL necklace and a barrette that pulled back part of her blonde hair.
Irene Urdangarin’s outfit was perfect for an informal event like her aunt’s birthday, where other women from the Spanish royal family were also in attendance.
Queen Letizia went for a casual look with tweed trousers, a black top, loafers and a leather jacket, while Infanta Cristina opted for a blue sheer midi skirt and eye-catching high boots.
King Felipe, meanwhile, stuck to his classic style with a formal suit, as did Irene’s siblings and former King Juan Carlos, who also did not want to miss his first daughter’s birthday.
