Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest grandson finally debuted his new royal title in public. James, formerly known as Viscount Severn, attended the Easter Sunday service with the rest of the British royal family.
The new Earl of Wessex, 15, accompanied his parents, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, to the service held at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Lady Louise was the only absentee.

James was captured by photographers as he arrived at the chapel. The Earl was wearing a dark blue suit and blue tie, but with patterned details.
As is traditional, James is quite discreet and did not want to draw attention to himself so he walked with his eyes fixed on the ground. However, his reappearance caught the attention of social media users, who commented on how tall he is and assured him that he would soon surpass his father, Prince Edward, in height.

James’ mother, the Duchess of Edinburgh attended the service in a striking cranberry-colored coat. She paired it with a hat and sandy suede boots.
