James, the Earl of Wessex, has proved to be a great member of the British royal family. This young man, grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth, surprised everyone with his unexpected public appearance in Switzerland.
At just 17 years old, James joined his parents, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, for a family skiing vacation in St. Moritz.
It’s well known that the Duke and Duchess are fans of this famous Swiss ski resort, visiting it almost every year. But this time, the excitement was even greater when their son decided to join them on this winter adventure.
With everything he’s had on his mind while preparing for his A-levels, James truly deserves a vacation.
James of Wessex skiing in Switzerland
To show off his talent on the snow, the Earl of Wessex sported a red and navy blue Team GB ski jacket, along with red skis and red pants that made him stand out on the slopes.
Unfortunately, his sister, Lady Louise Windsor, was unable to attend due to her studies in English Literature at the University of St Andrews, missing the opportunity to enjoy the Swiss snow like her brother.
His parents were also enjoying the trip; the Duke of Edinburgh joined in the fun in a red coat as he rode a chairlift with friends, while Sophie, the Duchess, opted for a stylish navy blue coat with a belt and her Bollé ski helmet.
To recall, the last time we saw James in public was during the Christmas celebrations at Sandringham, alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla.
This trip to Switzerland was the perfect getaway to relax and unwind from the stress of exams and royal responsibilities.
