As happened at the coronation in London last May 6, 2023, this new coronation in Scotland is leaving many topics to comment on.
King Charles III, 74, received the “Honours of Scotland” in a ceremony held at St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh.
Once here, Charles III received the crown, scepter, and sword of state, just as his mother received it 70 years ago.
The Stone of Destiny was also present at the coronation ceremony in Scotland.
This relic was used in Westminster Abbey last May 6, as it was on the throne on which Charles III sat when he was crowned by the Archbishop of Canterbury. It has been used for centuries as one of the main pieces in the coronation of Scottish kings.
Missing from this ceremony were many members of the monarchy, but those who did not miss the event were the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, who also starred in a PDA that everyone is talking about.
Kate groped William’s butt during the coronation in Scotland?
In a rare and striking PDA the Princess of Wales, who looked stunning in a vibrant blue dress, was relaxed during the ceremony.
At one point she even approached her husband to whisper something in his ear, smiled at him, and at one point tapped him on the butt.
The gesture quickly brought to mind another much-talked-about moment when Kate also touched William’s backside during the BAFTAs last February.
