Princess Kate has once again demonstrated her warmth and compassion.
Following the tragic passing of Lady Gabriella Windsor’s husband, Thomas Kingston, earlier this year, the Princess of Wales extended a heartfelt invitation to help Lady Gabriella find solace through collaboration.
Thomas Kingston, who married Lady Gabriella in 2019, tragically passed away in February at the age of 45.
The bond between Princess Kate and Lady Gabriella Windsor
Over the summer, Kate reached out to the grieving royal to offer her support in a meaningful way. She invited Lady Gabriella, an experienced singer-songwriter, to join the planning of this year’s “Together at Christmas” carol concert.
The event, hosted by Princess Kate on December 6 at Westminster Abbey, is set to air on Christmas Eve.
According to sources, Lady Gabriella was deeply moved by the gesture and embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly. She played a pivotal role in selecting the concert’s musical performances, even bringing on renowned artists like jazz singer Gregory Porter and pianist Rosey Chan.
Additionally, she collaborated with the charity Restore the Music to feature a youth jazz ensemble that performed as guests arrived.
“She felt honored and grateful to be asked,” shared an insider, noting that Lady Gabriella enjoyed being part of the carol service team. Her contributions added a personal and heartfelt touch to the festive event, which also included a poem performed by Tony Award-winning actress Sophie Okonedo.
This year’s concert was more than just a celebration of the holidays. Princess Kate made it a point to recognize individuals who have made a difference in their communities.
In a statement from the palace, it was emphasized that the event aimed to honor those “who have inspired, counseled, comforted, and shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive.”
Now in its fourth year, the “Together at Christmas” service welcomed over 1,600 attendees, cementing its place as a cherished royal tradition.
