The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has been in the news again after her recent public appearance, this time also linked to cancer.
On September 9, Kate announced that she had completed her treatment for this disease, a moment that moved many and generated thousands of reactions on social media.
In an emotional video, the princess shared her determination to heal completely and her intention to gradually resume her responsibilities within the British monarchy.
To kick off the month of October, Kate showed up again to welcome Liz Hatton, a 16-year-old aspiring photographer originally from Harrogate, England.

Kate’s reappearance was highlighted on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account, where several snapshots were posted that captured the warmth of the moment between the princess and the young girl.
In the images shared, Princess Kate, 42, can be seen warmly embracing Liz, while another photo shows the Prince and Princess of Wales posing with Liz and her family.
“A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength have inspired us both,” the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote on social media.
“Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us. ❤️,” they wrote. The royals signed the post “W&C.”
This meeting takes on special significance as it relates closely to the princess’s personal experience.
In January, Liz was diagnosed with a desmoplastic small round cell tumor, a rare and aggressive form of cancer, and doctors gave her between six months and three years to live, according to BBC reports.
Despite her condition, Liz was invited by Prince William to photograph the investitures as part of his “photography wish list.”
After the investiture ceremony, Kate and William spent time alone with Liz and her loved ones, making the experience even more memorable.
Liz also shared her experience on her social media, expressing her happiness:
“Such a lovely, genuine and kind people. I’m over the moon that my family and I had this experience,” Liz wrote on her Instagram Story on Oct. 2 under a photo of her hugging the Princess of Wales.
