The confirmation of Kate Middleton’s presence at the Wimbledon final is still pending.
The Princess of Wales, who is recovering from cancer treatment, has been gradually returning to her official engagements after a long period of absence.
There are expectations that she will resume her participation in the tennis tournament, an event she has traditionally enjoyed and highlighted in her royal calendar.
Kate made her first public appearance after her treatment on June 15 at Trooping The Colour, celebrating King Charles.
This event marked her return to public life after announcing in January that she had undergone abdominal surgery and then in March her cancer diagnosis.

Although her attendance at the prestigious tennis tournament has not yet been confirmed, it is contemplated that another member of the royals could represent her at the event, thus maintaining the royal family’s tradition and support for sport.
In her distinguished role as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, the Princess of Wales fulfills the tradition of presenting the trophies to the victorious competitors of the tennis tournament.
This honor, which was conferred upon her by Queen Elizabeth II in 2016, is accompanied by the wearing of a distinctive Wimbledon brooch adorned with the club’s emblematic colors of dark green and purple.
Although details about Princess Kate’s participation at Wimbledon this year remain uncertain, another royal has been appointed to assume her duties at the awards ceremony.
According to reports in The Telegraph, Birgitte, the Duchess of Gloucester, is set to present the trophies at the tournament final if Princess Kate is unable to attend.
The Duchess, 78, is united in marriage to Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester and cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. Sharing a passion for tennis with Kate, Birgitte also has a patronage link to the sport.
For 25 years, she has served as honorary president of the Lawn Tennis Association, providing support to the governing body of tennis in Great Britain.
At this year’s tournament, the Duchess has made two appearances since the competition began on July 1. In addition, the Duchess of Gloucester is noted for her active and ongoing commitment to the royal family.
