    Will Kate Middleton be at Trooping the Colour?

    After a period of speculation and rumors, Kensington Palace has broken its silence with an update on Princess Kate, which has generated an atmosphere of disappointment.

    An official representative of the monarchy has confirmed that the 42-year-old Princess of Wales will not assume her customary role as inspecting officer at the Colonel’s Review, an event scheduled for June 8. 

    This event is the most important dress rehearsal before the Trooping the Color celebration.

    This year, the distinction will be awarded to Lt. Gen. James Bucknall, a recipient of the KCB and CBE decorations.

    Princess Kate has chosen to stay out of the public eye after announcing on March 22 that she was diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.

    Despite her battle with the disease, she has been spotted on recent occasions both in the company of her family and doing everyday activities on her own, which has been reported by sources close to People magazine.

    While her absence at the Colonel’s Review is a given, uncertainty still lingers about her presence at Trooping the Colour, a ceremony of great significance and tradition for the royal family, which will take place on June 15.

    The expectation of whether Princess Kate will be present at the event is keeping both fans of the royal family and the general public on tenterhooks.

    However, there is little hope due to recent reports in the British press that the princess will not return to public activities until the fall, and others go further and say that, if all goes well with her cancer treatment, Kate will resume her official duties next year.
