Kate Middleton, 41, and Prince William’s, 40, first visit as duke and duchess to Cornwall has uncovered a particular encounter between the Princess and her history teacher.
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last September, Kate and William received new titles. They are Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, although they are better known as the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The couple retain their titles as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, bestowed by Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day in 2011, are also known as Baron and Baroness of Carrickfergus.
Reunion of Kate Middleton and her history teacher
During the tour and greeting people outside the National Maritime Museum of Cornwall, Princess Kate has bumped into her history teacher, Jim Embury.
The princess looked visibly excited to see her teacher again. Embury taught Kate history in high school and volunteers at the museum today. Coincidentally, the Princess of Wales earned a degree in art history from the University of St. Andrews in 2005
“The things you taught me, I now teach my children,” Kate said, according to local media outlet Cornwall Live, referring to Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.
For his part, the teacher was also excited to see who was his pupil 25 years ago.
“She was a fantastic student, and it was a great class,” the teacher told the local media.
