Princess Kate made a rare public appearance in London’s Notting Hill, where she was seen browsing for glasses at the Finlay and Co optician.
On a chilly evening, with temperatures dipping to 4°C, the Princess of Wales wrapped up in a stylish long coat paired with a chic checked scarf.
Her solo outing to the eyewear boutique, known for its personalized service since opening in 2019, caught the attention of locals.
Princess Kate Steps Out in Notting Hill
This sighting comes as the Princess gradually returns to royal duties following her remission from cancer.
Recently, Kate marked a significant milestone by visiting the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she had undergone chemotherapy. It was her first solo engagement since completing treatment in 2024.
Reflecting on her journey, Kate expressed gratitude for being in remission but acknowledged the challenges of adjusting to her “new normal.” Her focus remains on recovery and family life, with Prince William and their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, being her top priorities.
During her visit to the Royal Marsden, Kate demonstrated her characteristic warmth, connecting deeply with patients.
Katherine Field, a patient undergoing chemotherapy, described their encounter as “just like talking to a friend about a really horrible time in life.” She added.
Kate and Prince William, who now serve as joint patrons of the Royal Marsden, are continuing the legacy of Princess Diana, who was president of the hospital from 1989.
