Trooping the Colour’ day is always an event awaited by the British and this year, the expectation increased when Kate Middleton announced that she would attend the celebrations, after an absence of six months.
The first image of the Princess of Wales at an official event did not disappoint: she appeared alongside her children, sporting a very significant two-tone outfit.
Kate Middleton’s style at Trooping the Colour
The first photo of Princess Kate was inside one of the official vehicles.
In that first photo, she looked a bit serious, perhaps due to the nerves of returning to the public eye.
This has been her longest absence since joining the royal family, having previously only been away from official duties for two or three weeks in 13 years.
However, her expression changed completely when ‘Trooping the Colour’ officially began.
Inside Buckingham Palace, Kate and her children switched modes of transport, boarding the iconic carriages that rarely leave the garage.
Although rain prevented the carriages from being uncovered, allowing only a glimpse through glass, Kate’s dazzling smile shone for the audience.
The highlight of her reappearance, however, was not only her presence, but also her styling.
Kate chose a black and white dress designed by Jenny Packham, one of her favorite designers.
The dress, immaculate white with black trim, included a two-tone XL bow at the neck, a very personal detail.
Interestingly, she opted for the same colors as in 2011, when she made her debut at this event after marrying Prince William, underlining the importance of this reappearance as a kind of new debut.
Of course, Kate also wore an elegant headdress, as the etiquette of the event dictates. It was a black and white saucer headdress, adorned with a very fine feather.
She complemented her outfit with matching high heels and pearl earrings, culminating an impeccable and symbolic styling.
Beyond her clothes, what was really important was to see a relaxed and smiling Kate Middleton, taking the first steps to resume her official schedule after her abdominal operation in January and the cancer treatment she has been receiving.
Although it should be noted that in her message on social networks, she acknowledged that she is not yet “out of the woods”, but expressed her intention to gradually resume her public activities.
Undoubtedly, this appearance marks the beginning of a new stage in her life.
