Kate Middleton surprised everyone with her reappearance at the Wimbledon men’s final on Sunday, July 14.
Despite being in the middle of her chemotherapy treatment for cancer, the wife of Prince William did not want to miss one of her favorite annual events.
Accompanied by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her sister, Pippa Middleton, Princess Kate wore a lilac dress that has been the talk of the town, not only for its style but also for its deep meaning.

Something to highlight was the ovation that Kate received upon her arrival at the All England Club, undoubtedly an emotional moment.
For the occasion, she chose a design by Safiyaa, the Cecilia model, made in crepe, stands out for its midi length, A-line cut, gathered bodice and structured sleeves.
It should be noted that Kate made a small modification to the original dress, reducing the V-neckline to make it more discreet.
The lilac of the dress was not a casual choice. This color, along with black, represents Wimbledon and appears in the ribbon Kate wore pinned to her dress.
However, lilac also has a more personal and emotional meaning. It is the color associated with the fight against cancer, a battle Kate is currently fighting.
The lilac ribbon is a universal symbol of support for all forms of cancer, similar to how pink represents breast cancer and blue represents prostate cancer.
Different media outlets have highlighted that Kate’s use of lilac is not only a nod to Wimbledon, but also a way to make her fight against the disease visible.
The Princess of Wales is known for her ability to communicate profound messages through her wardrobe, and this case was no exception.
During the afternoon, Kate enjoyed tennis with her daughter and sister, marking her second public appearance since Trooping the Colour in June.
Much more smiling and relaxed than her last appearance, the princess took to the court to present the trophy to Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, who was crowned Wimbledon men’s champion for the second year in a row.
Kate is expected to gradually resume her institutional schedule as her health improves. If all goes according to plan, her treatment should conclude in August, allowing her to return to her activities in September.
