The Yellow Dress of Kate Middleton That Disappeared from Her Wardrobe

Since marrying Prince William in 2011, Kate Middleton has established herself as a fashion icon. Her impeccable style, a mix of elegance and sobriety, has made her one of the most admired royals.

However, there is a garment that, after her wedding, disappeared from her closet and still generates curiosity: a daring yellow minidress that she wore during her first official trip as duchess.

This piece, designed by Jenny Packham, combined a vibrant tone with a simple but striking design.

The garment stood out for its collared neckline, large buttons down the front and a floaty skirt.

Kate complemented the ensemble with a chic LK Bennett clutch and nude heels.

Although it seemed like a perfect choice, the dress ended up starring in an awkward moment that marked her fate.

Kate Middleton’s awkward moment in Canada

In July 2011, just three months after their wedding, Kate and William visited Canada as part of their first official tour.

At the Calgary airport, while greeting soldiers, the windy weather played against her. The lightness of the dress caused the wind to lift the skirt, exposing more than desired and generating a stir in the headlines at the time.

Since that day, Kate never wore this dress again. This detail is especially noteworthy, as the princess is known for recycling her looks and giving them a renewed touch on new occasions.

The absence of this garment in her public appearances has led to speculation that it was “retired” to avoid future mishaps or breaching strict royal protocol.
