Kate Middleton showed her versatility and good taste by looking casual in Windsor. Her choice of ballerinas and a Zara blazer added an unusual but charming touch to her look.
While the eyes of the British press are focused on Prince Harry’s trial against Mirror Group Newspapers at the High Court in London, life goes on for the rest of the members of the royal family.
This Tuesday, the Princess of Wales starred in an official event in Windsor, away from the hustle and bustle of the capital, where she has lived with her husband William, and their three children for almost a year.
Kate, known for her impeccable elegance and high heels, surprised everyone by opting for flat shoes. The wife of Prince William wore navy blue suede ballerinas of the Lulu model, belonging to Emmy London, valued at more than $427.
This change of style was an unusual but charming look that caught the attention of those present.
Kate Middleton wears a blazer by Zara
In addition to her shoes, Kate wore a brand-new jacket with a Spanish touch. It was a blazer from Zara from a previous season, featuring a vichy print in white and sky blue.
The garment featured silver buttons and side pockets, which she paired with a basic white top with a round neckline and navy blue straight-cut pants. Kate once again demonstrated her ability to combine classic and modern garments.
Elegance in the details
As for her accessories, Kate opted for a classic and elegant style. She wore white gold and diamond earrings from Mappin & Webb, valued at $4,277, along with a matching pendant from the same jewelry store.
Not missing was her engagement ring, with a Ceylon sapphire surrounded by fourteen diamonds, and her wedding band. The sparkling details enhanced her sophisticated and timeless look.
A strategic gesture
Kate’s visit to the Windsor Family Hub was a pleasant surprise, as it was not scheduled in her official agenda. It is possible that Buckingham Palace sought to divert attention from Harry’s trial to a more positive image.

During her visit, Kate spent time with different groups that use the center’s services, such as those participating in stress management courses, health visiting sessions, and baby massages. Her presence was a show of solidarity with the community.
