Although 13 years have passed since the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, many details of the grand celebration remain unknown.
Even previous events, such as the bachelorette party of the then-future princess, have remained shrouded in mystery until now.
However, thanks to royal biographer Robert Jobson and his new book “Catherine, the Princess of Wales: The Biography,” some secrets have come to light.
Jobson, known for his exhaustive research on the British Royal Family, not only aims to shed light on Kate Middleton’s life but also on the rest of the family members.
In this book, Jobson reveals previously unpublished details about Kate Middleton’s hen party.
Although the details of the celebration are not fully known, the biographer mentions that it was a discreet and private event, far from the media hustle and bustle that characterizes the life of the royals.
It is important to note that the information provided by Jobson has not been officially confirmed by the Royal Family.
However, his research and the biographer’s reputation as a reliable source of information on British royalty lend credibility to his account.
How was Kate Middleton’s bachelorette party?
The biographical book on the British Royal Family, written by Jobson, has uncovered little-known details about the personal life of the Princess of Wales.
One of the chapters that has most caught the attention of royal fans is the one describing Kate’s lively hen party, held before her wedding to Prince William at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.
Kate’s sister and maid of honor, Pippa Middleton, was in charge of organizing the celebration.
She opted for an intimate gathering at the home of a mutual friend, with a select guest list.
Among the attendees were Kate’s roommate at St. Andrews University, Olivia Beasdale, and her friends from Marlborough College, Alicia Fox-Pitt and Rose Astor.
The book also reveals that, for the occasion, Kate dared to wear a tight bodysuit reminiscent of pop singer Cheryl Cole’s outfit, mimicking her famous dance in the 2009 “Fight for This Love” music video.
This information was reportedly confirmed when Prince William met the singer at Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee concert in 2012, reports People magazine.
“She [Kate] even learnt the dance routine and was step-perfect by all accounts, as her sister Pippa and brother James also came over and told me all about it,” Cole said, according to Jobson’s book.
What was Prince William’s bachelor party like?
Unlike his brother Harry’s exuberant celebration, Prince William’s bachelor party was a remarkably low-key event.
With a group of around 20 friends, the future royal opted for a getaway to the English countryside.
The adventure began with a session of clay pigeon shooting, a sport said to be a hobby of the prince.
Afterwards, the group moved to a mansion in Devon called Harland Abbey for a weekend of surfing and relaxation.
This choice reflects William’s more reserved personality compared to Harry. Instead of an extravagant party, the prince opted for a more intimate and relaxed experience, reflecting his traditional approach and desire for privacy.
