A curious detail that caught the eye in Kate Middleton’s looks at Wimbledon has to do with the accessories she wore for the matches and especially for the final of the championship.

Once again the Princess of Wales did not want to miss the occasion and went to Wimbledon in style, but do you know why she wore a brooch on her dress? This peculiar detail is not a coincidence.

For the last Wimbledon match, in addition to the funny snapshots of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Kate chose an outfit in an intense green color.

Specifically, she wore an elegant midi-cut dress with short sleeves, signed by Roland Mouret and valued at about 970 dollars. She also wore nude Gianvito Rossi pumps and an Emmy London handbag.

As on other occasions she wore again the brooch in the form of a bow with a purple and black checkered print.

Kate wears this accessory as a sign of her work in favor of this sport that she is so passionate about and is that the brooch can only be used by members of an elite tennis club of which the Princess is a sponsor since 2016, specifically, the so-called ‘All England Club’.

The green and purple that form the ribbon are also no coincidence since they are the colors of the private club.

The club only has 375 members and to get in there is a waiting list of over a thousand people, according to Forbes.

So wearing Kate’s bow is an exclusive symbol that can be worn, in addition to the Princess, by all those who belong to the prestigious organization, although men replace it or combine it with a tie of the same colors.
