The British royal family has been embroiled in controversy recently. However, Kate Middleton, King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William have shown unity by attending the annual pre-Christmas diplomatic reception together.
This is an event on the Windsor calendar known for its elegance and sophistication.
Kate Middleton’s Diplomatic Reception
For this important event, the Princess of Wales once again showed her good taste in dress, literally shining in the midst of the controversy surrounding her.
In Omid Scobie’s book Endgame, the Princess of Wales was severely criticized, and according to journalist Piers Morgan, she is the other member of the family who allegedly made racist remarks about Prince Archie.
These accusations appeared “by mistake” in the Dutch edition of the author’s book and caused it to be removed from stores for correction.
At the reception for diplomats, Kate dazzled in a beautiful shimmering sequined dress in powder pink designed by Jenny Packham.
This model is not new, it is the same dress that the princess wore at the royal wedding reception of Hussein and Rajwa of Jordan.
Kate Middleton Tiara
To complement her gorgeous outfit, the Princess chose to wear her favorite tiara again, which coincidentally was also the favorite of her mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
Specifically, she wore the Cambridge Lover’s Knot, which is part of the royal collection. This neoclassical piece of diamonds and pearls dates back to 1913, when Queen Mary, wife of George V, commissioned it from Garrad Jewelers.
The Princess of Wales complemented her outfit with other accessories and the Order of the Royal Family of Queen Elizabeth II, the ribbon and insignia of the Royal Victorian Order, and the Maltese Cross.
